Here is Ironman Geoff preparing for a practice swim on the actual swim course in Kona. Three days til race day and counting!!
Geoff needs to be as mentally prepared as he does physically...especially for the swim! He will be swimming 1.2 miles straight out into the open ocean and then back!! That takes alot of guts!!!

As I write this blog Geoff recalls his first year at scout camp when he had to take the swim test...that was probably the first test he failed!!! Due to his humiliating failure he had to stay inside a sectioned off area close to the pier and even closer to the lifeguard! I think that he also recalls Chris being right along side with him! It's funny how some things never change as the years go by!!:)
Look at him now! Luckily he didn't let his failed swim test drag him down! Way to go, Geoff!!
Here's Wyatt giving his Uncle Geoff a much needed massage for his feet! Maybe Wyatt will give him another massage after the race on Saturday!!!
It was really good to meet up with Geoff today!!! I think he was getting lonely and we needed a change of scenery...and it was a positive change of scenery at that!! Kona is soooooo breathtakingly beautiful!!!! From the little bit of the island that I have seen so far, it is by far more appealing and beautiful than Oahu! I am NOT saying that Oahu isn't amazing and beautiful...This is Hawaii....of course it's beautiful!! This island just isn't as run down by tourists as much and also we are not in the heart of downtown. I would very much reccommend this part of Hawaii to anyone planning on taking a trip to the Hawaiian Islands in the upcoming years!!!
