HE DID IT!!!

Monte and all three of my brothers participated in a half Iron Man in Provo over the weekend. For those who are unsure of what a half Iron Man is...it is a triathalon where you swim 1.2 miles, ride bike 56 miles, and run 13.1 miles! This was Monte's first time ever competing in a triathalon and it was quite an accomplishment for him!
This picture was taken early in the morning before the race!

Wyatt, Megan, and I had to wait in the car for awhile until the sun came up over the mountain, because there were mosquitos everywhere! So we killed some time by taking lots of pictures in the car! We missed the swim start but were still able to see all of the boys finish the swim and run to the transition area where they picked up their bikes to start the 56 miles ride.

I fall more in love with this little boy everyday! He has his sour moments like any two year old, but these are the moments that I remember the most!
Two tired kids! Well, Wyatt was the tired one...Megan just sleeps all the time anyway!

Here is Monte running into the finish!!!
He worked so hard all day to get to this point! He made it and we were all there to cheer for him and greet him on his first triathalon finish! Good job Honey! I love you and am so proud of you!! What an accomplishment!!
I'm not gonna lie...watching Monte do this race was quite a turn on!
Our family!
Without a doubt...our kids have the raddest dad!
Poor Monte...he hasn't even gotten the chance to sit down! He probably wished the pictures could have waited till later...but who knows if he was going to be able to get up once he sat down!

How cool is this...all three of my brothers and my husband all together after they all completed the race! This day was really neat to be able to watch all four of these men conquer and complete such a huge task! Great job boys!

Congrats to your boys! I couldn't imagine how straining that would be. Good job! Your hair looks so good. I chopped mine off a few months ago and its been nice through the summer to feel lighter and cooler!
Again you look so great!

Seriously AMAZING!!! Good job Monte! We really wanted to come and watch at least for a little while and say "hey" but it just happened to fall on the same day as the big Anderson Reunion. Anyway, thanks for posting pictures...Monte you are the bomb.com!

I don't know if enough can be said about Monte finishing this race. In January he could barely swim. Monte taught himself how to swim without any lessons or help. Some of us suggested he skip the very long 1.2 mile swim and only do the bike and run segments. He wouldn't hear of it. Monte's weakness was the swimming and he was determined to conquer that part of himself. He finished dead last, but he finished. I feel honored to have been there that day to see such an inspiring accomplishment.

Can't say enough about that day. First being able to give Brian his medal and a hug at the finish, then watching Brian give Chris his medal, then being there to watch Monte finish was unforgettable. Thanks for helping to make it such an inspiring and historic day, Monte! Our family is so enriched by having you in it.
