Welcome to The MAWMA Blog (Monte, Amber, Wyatt, Megan, and Alton). We thought that this would be something that we could share with our friends and family to help keep us more connected, especially with those that we don't get to see very often. We have fun putting this together and hope that you can enjoy looking at it!!

Do you know what a cerclage is? (sounds like colage)
Well, I went to an OB specialist called a perinatologist yesterday for a second opinion on what appears to be a short cervex. I guess that my cervex is supposed to be measuring at 2.5 cm when it is currently measuring at 1.9 cm. So I was refered to this specialist by my Dr. for a second opinion. The second opinion Dr. said that if I don't want to have a very premature baby then she needs to sew up my cervex so that it won't get any shorter. Because if it were to get any shorter I could go into labor extrememly early. I am a little nervous about the procedure not for myself but for the growing baby inside of me. I just don't want anything to go wrong because this is usually a procedure that is done pretty early in a pregnancy...and I am more than half way through this pregnancy. The Dr. says it is a very low risk procedure however I may have to stay overnight in the hospital after the procedure for some monitoring. However, I'm not anticipating that that will actually have to happen...I hope that I am right! As far as recovery, I think I just shouldn't lift heavy things...like my 32 lb 2 year old! I go in for the procedure on Sunday morning in the labor and delivery department at Renown so I will keep you all posted on how things go from there!

Amber we will keep you in our prayers!
Amber, from my pregnancy I learned that a lot of the doctors out there know jack crap about what is really going on. Just rest and take it easy and everything will work out!
